void

Sunday, July 19th, 2026 - 186 words

i looked into the void and she looked back at me her name was Anthropocene and her voice is all humanity

our culture is dead and our planet is burning - truly 4 billion people will boil under the last tree. every degree is a death sentence for another half of humanity the birds and the bees are silent and going extinct

I hear the silence outside and I watch my brothers and sisters in the Great Lakes cry while the sky melts their lungs and burns their eyes

and my heart shatters i look into the void and she looked back the failure was ours

to reorganize our lives around the Earth and her cries We are so fucked.

I can't stop crying and I can't go back Ignorance is death and survival is all we have left

Cede our land to native hands so that they may teach us the way through never out our hands will burn with the problems we'll solve but never fast enough for all

Our lives are over, Death she beckons a rebirth for us but not our parents.
